The Chamber of Fire
Chapter 9

The procession was so long it was impossible to see from one end to the other. As Randor began his song, the procession began to hum as the line departed the field. Flaming torches six feet long were passed along the line as the procession reached the top of the hill.
Come with me now as we turn to the bow
And leave all that troubles behind,
The way of the light
With no darkness in sight
As we sail with truth and in kind.
For wherever we go,
With our hearts high and low,
Forever with peace in our mind,
The way for us all,
Not too big or too small,
It is always love that will bind.
With hundreds of torches lighting the way, the marching crowd resembled a serpent of fire, winding its way down into the forest. Randor was singing at the top of his voice as they entered the tree line, with hundreds of Valdar humming in harmony behind him, the torchlight turning the trees from green to gold.
