Molly stomped into the hall, closing the living room door firmly behind her, very unhappy at being shut out of the conversation. She looked back down the hall when she heard a knock at the front door. Mrs Peabody came from the kitchen quickly to answer it. Opening the door, a tall blonde man with a blonde beard stepped in.    ‘Good evening, madam. I believe the Grandmaster is here?’

​   ‘U…h, yes, sir, in the living room,’ said Mrs Peabody, appearing to know who he was.

   ‘Thank you, I’ll see myself there,’ he replied.

​   Two more men stepped in behind him, introducing themselves to Mrs Peabody as Mr Browelowe and Mr Whatley. ‘Who is this?’ Thought Molly? As the tall blonde man strode confidently down the hall toward her. 

​    ‘Good afternoon, my name is Avindor. You must be Edward’s daughter; I can see the likeness.’

    ‘Uh, yes,’ said Molly, shaking his offered hand and a little in awe at this new man's striking appearance. Browelowe and Whatley caught up, giving Molly hard, unfriendly frowns as they passed by, shutting the living room door firmly behind them.

   ‘Is that Edward’s daughter?’ said Whatley in alarm, on the other side of the door.
